Soheil Shirangi is an Iranian composer, pianist, and baritone vocalist, born in December 1987 in Gorgan, Iran. He studied piano at the Tehran Conservatory under Bahram Dehghaniar and Valentin Rokamenikov, and further developed his musical expertise under renowned mentors such as Nader Mashayekhi, Ardavan Vosoughi, Shahdad Rohani, Joachim Heintz, and Dimitri Papageorgiou. Shirangi has received several distinctions, including second place at the Tehran International Electronic Music Festival (2017), a nomination for Best Composition at the 33rd Fajr Festival, and a diploma from the Kastalsky International Choral Competition in Russia. His works have been performed internationally across countries such as Iran, Greece, Italy, Brazil, Germany, Romania, and the United States. He is the founder and director of the Parsik Ensemble (established in 2012), and since 2016 has been a baritone member of the Iranian Philharmonic Choir. He is also affiliated with the Iranian House of Music Composers Association and the Contemporary Music Society. In 2018, he founded the “Khaneh Royaa Ensemble,” dedicated to performing contemporary compositions. His released works include the album Image, published by Contemporary Music Pardis, as well as contributions to collaborative albums such as Sunset in the Grove and Two Minutes, released internationally. In addition to concert works, he has composed music for theater and short films, and was awarded a scholarship to attend the Hamburg Media Music Festival in 2019.
